  Overview
OMEGA Business Suite
is a flexible, powerful and user-friendly payroll system designed to meet the most demanding requirements from global organizations.

It manages salary accounts in many different languages and currencies and several national tax rules and regulations are supported.

The system is specially designed for the payroll- and crewing department, which is in charge of salary accounts and crew planning.

Omega Hyre Millennium is a Danish product and has been developed in co-operation among several Danish shipping companies and Soft-Team. More than 50 different shipping companies has already purchased the system.

Omega Hyre Millennium is a fully multi-user system and is organised in several different modules, each module is specially optimised for its purpose.


Crew Management
The Crew Management module includes all necessary routines for managing the crew information. Omega contains a very large and informative database with many crew information incl. pictures and a detailed sailing history, which the Omega uses to keep track of each person.

Wage Contracts can be registered and printed on any printer connected to the PC or network.


Appraisal Module
In the
Appraisal module Omega manage evaluations, score recording, promotion indicators and appraisal interviews with the employee. Also several reports and appraisal statistics are available.


Crew History
Omega Hyre Millennium has a detailed crew history, where every assignment is registered and stored. You can e.g. print a Crew List based on any sign-on date in the present or in the past.
 

Crew Planning
The Crew Planning module is used for planning crew changes. It contains many different reports and letters, including travel letters, sign-on letters, letters of guarantee, travel plans, check lists, passport/visa and medical reports etc.

Based on a crew change, Omega can easily print a notice to the crew member, reminding him about the coming assignment.

 All reports is printed by the build-in Report Writer, which allows the user to modify existing report and creating new.

Also included is the Omega Quick Print function, where any user easily can print ad hoc lists, just by picking the desirable fields. Omega will do the rest for you.

 

The Course Planning module contains routines for planning courses for the crew members. Course Letters can be printed, and when a course is approved the crew members crew history and course history is updated automatically


Course- and Certificate Planning
The Course- and Certificate Planning module is fully integrated in the other planning routines. It has several reports, incl. course letters, course list, list of expirations etc. It also includes automatic monitoring and warnings for the user, whenever an expiry date is approaching.

Electronic Document Handling
E-Doc is a module, which makes it possible to hold documents, scanned certificates, digital images and other external files. The purpose is to quick and easy browse through all scanned documents. The electronic documents can easily be viewed, printed or emailed forward to e.g. vessel or agent by Omega's built-in mail client program.

 


 


 

 

Payroll Administration
The
Payroll Module includes all necessary routines for payroll and salary accounts. The daily routines include e.g.: Maintain salary accounts, accounting, requests and many reports. The monthly routines include e.g.: electronic transfer of pension, compensation, statistics, and money transfer to several banking systems. Further more a long list of different closing routines. All handled by user defined paycodes and calculations.


Reports

The system is equipped with a flexible and powerful End-User Report Writer, which allows the user to modify existing reports and creating new reports.


Integration
Omega Hyre Millennium has integration to a wide range of Financial Systems, such as ShipNet, Navision XAL, Axapta and SAP, and is able to make money transfer to several banking systems.
 

Sea Manager Interface
Omega Hyre Millennium is able to exchange data with the vessel based system SEA MANAGER. Earnings and deduction, crew infomation, appraisals, courses and certificates, payslips etc. can easily be transferred between the two systems, eliminating the need for duplicate data registration.


Export Module

The build-in Export Module makes it possible to export data from Omega Hyre Millennium directly to other systems, such as MS-Word® and MS-Excel®. This cam be used for budgetary control, estimations and other calculations.


Security
In Omega there are many levels of security. The database is protected with user-id and password, and can be encrypted on several levels. Each user can be granted read/write and delete rights. The user is also verified through an authorization code. This ensure, that each user only get to see the functions they have authorization to.
